In 1854, at the request of Father Joseph Kundek of Spencer County Indiana, a group of monks traveled from Einsiedeln Abbey in Switzerland to work with the large Roman Catholic population who primarily spoke in their native German tongues. The monks went on to found the Abbey in 1854, one of only two in the United States and only eleven throughout the world.
St. Meinrad became an abbey in 1870, and eventually became a center of education, offering high school courses, then undergraduate courses in philosophy and theology. Today the mission of the Abbey is to prepare men for service as priests.
In addition, the Abbey is home to Abbey Press, and Abbey Caskets, makers of fine wooden caskets and funerary urns.

I am preparing a training booklet on the Beatitudes for my church prayer group. When I performed a Google search on Beatitudes & stained-glass, St. Meinrad came up. Does the Abbey have a stained-glass window for each of the 8 Beatitudes? If so, how can I acquire these for our booklet? These booklets will be given to the prayer group members at cost (no profit will be accepted or taken).
Thanks and God Bless,
Genesius
Do you have photos Where can I find pictures of your stained-glass windows of all 8 beatitudes?
